Kayode Ojo Vows to Pursue Gubernatorial Ambition, Hints at ADC Option Backed by Amaechi
Gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Kayode Ojo, has reaffirmed his determination to contest the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, declaring that his ambition is unstoppable.

Speaking with confidence during a strategic meeting with his core loyalists at his Ikoro-Ekiti country home, Ojo revealed that if he does not secure the APC ticket, he has a ready alternative waiting, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) which, according to him, would be handed to him “on a platter of gold” by his political godfather and former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

“I am in the race to win, and I will be on the ballot — with or without the APC,” he said pointedly, stressing that the ADC remains a strong fallback option backed by credible national structures.

Ojo, who contested the APC governorship primary in 2022, noted that the next election offers a fresh opportunity to redirect the course of development in Ekiti State. He maintained that his agenda is focused on infrastructure renewal, youth empowerment, and restoring trust in public institutions.

He also used the occasion to caution against imposition and backdoor politics within the APC, warning that the party risks internal crisis if fairness, inclusivity, and due process are not upheld in the selection of its candidate. “This is not the time for political exclusion. The people of Ekiti must be given the power to choose,” he emphasized.
