ENGR. BAYO AJAYI  EMPOWERED EMURE LG MUSLIM COMMUNITY FOR ILEYA CELEBRATION, CANVASSES SUPPORT FOR GOV. OYEBANJI

In the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Engr. Bayo Ajayi, a prominent son of Emure-Ekiti and board member of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, empowered members of the Emure Local Government Muslim Community to a special Ileya celebration.

The colourful event, held in Emure-Ekiti, brought together Muslim faithful and community stakeholders in an atmosphere of joy, prayer, and communal unity. It featured Islamic prayers, fraternal interactions, distribution of cash gift to the Muslim faithfuls.

The Chief Imams in attendance, expressed profound appreciation to Engr. Bayo Ajayi for his consistent show of love and commitment to Emure community. “This is not the first time Engr. Bayo Ajayi is identifying with the Muslim community. His humility, generosity, and love for the people are truly commendable,” he said.

In his remarks, Engr. Ajayi emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and collaborative development. He encouraged continued prayers for Emure Local Government and Ekiti State at large.

He also used the occasion to canvass support for the continuation of administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji till 2030, describing him as a visionary and people-centered leader whose inclusive policies are driving sustainable development across the state. “Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated uncommon commitment to good governance and grassroots development. He deserves our unwavering support,” Ajayi stated.

The event climaxed with the distribution of Ileya packages—including food items and cash gifts—to members of the Muslim community as a gesture of appreciation for their role in promoting peace and unity in Emure Local Government.

Dignitaries present at the celebration included the Chief Imam of Emure Central Mosque, the Chief Imam of Eporo, the Emure Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Sesan Olaniyi Oniyeluarea(Ori Kan Body) Special Assistant to the Governor on Wealth Creation and Employment), Coordinator of the BAO Agenda 2026 for Emure LG,the chief imam of Alawemo Mosque,as well as notable Muslim and political leaders from across the local government area.
