Ojuawo Commissions a Block of 6 Classrooms in Ogotun Ekiti
Earlier today, Hon. (AVM Rtd) Ojuawo Rufus Adeniyi, the honourable member representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, visited Ogotun High School in Ogotun Ekiti to commission a block of 6 classrooms that he facilitated. As part of his visit, Hon. Ojuawo paid a courtesy call to His Royal Highness Oba Adebayo Adesanmi, the Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti, to pay his respects and engage in festive homage with the Kabiyesi and the Ologotun in Council, all in preparation for the commissioning of the project.
Chief Disu Bakare, the Elemo of Ogotun Ekiti, spoke on behalf of the Ologotun in Council at the ceremony, expressing his gratitude to Hon. Ojuawo for his love and dedication to the community of Ogotun Ekiti. He found the timing of the project to be particularly heartwarming.
However, Chief Bakare also took the opportunity to appeal to Hon. Ojuawo for assistance in addressing the current shortage of manpower at the Ogotun Police Station, as well as other challenges that the community is facing. This appeal highlights the ongoing needs of the community and the importance of continued support and development.
The Principal of Ogotun High School, Mr. Ojo Akinlusi, who hosted the ceremony, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Ojuawo for initiating such a significant project during his tenure as principal. Mr. Akinlusi praised Hon. Ojuawo’s humility, describing him as extremely friendly and down-to-earth, saying “the humility of the Retired General is second to none, very friendly and homely.”
In his brief remarks, Hon. Ojuawo expressed his gratitude to the Kabiyesi and the chiefs for their cooperation throughout the project. He said, “I have listened to your additional requests, and I will review them carefully, particularly the security issue, which is crucial to our daily lives.” Hon. Ojuawo also thanked the people of Ogotun for their support of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and he encouraged them to start preparing for the governor’s re-election, stating that it is a task they must all work together to achieve. He assured them that he is committed to their well-being and the success of their community.
In appreciation, Oba Adebayo Adesanmi expressed his gratitude to Hon. Ojuawo and assured him that the Ogotun community is fully behind Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, affectionately known as BAO. The Oba stated that Governor Oyebanji has been doing a great job and should count on the community’s support. He also commended Hon. Ojuawo, saying “we are happy with you” and requested that he not forget the addtional needs, adding “please, Honourable, do not forget us.” The Oba concluded by wishing Hon. Ojuawo continued success and blessings, saying “God will continue to open your way and bless you”
