Ipesa-Balogun @60: Oloyede eulogises ex-council chairman at book launch

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has shower encomiums on the former chairman of the council, Hon Afeez Ipesa-Balogun on his contribution to the development of the council.

Oloyede eulogised the ex-council boss at the public presentation of the book titled "Afeez Ipesa -Balogun: Mr Speaker... exploration of the archives". the book chronicles the life of the celebrator from his birth, childhood, election, his political journey and achievements. 

Oloyede who attended the book launch held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, in commemoration of the 60th birthday of Hon. Afeez Ipesa-Balogun lauded the strides of the former council chairman in contributing to the infrastructural development of the local government.


Oloyede, at the well attended epoch event, eulogized the administrative skills with which the former council chairman managed the affairs of the council area, while commending his inputs and contributions. 

The Oshodi-Isolo council honcho noted that the third republic member of the Lagos State House of Assembly has immensely contributed to the growth and development of Oshodi in particular and Lagos State in general.


On the occasion of his 60th birthday, Oloyede wishes him the best life has got to offer while praying to God to bestow upon him a healthy and prosperous years ahead. 

He said; "I am delighted to be at his epoch event today to launch a book in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of my brother, former Council chair and former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Afeez Ipesa-Balogun 

Hon. Afeez Ipesa -Balogun has written his name in gold and it will be stand the test of time. His infrastructural strides in our local government are there for all to see and I'm highly delighted for his achievements in office.  

As he is stepping on the 6th floor, I wish nothing for him but the very best life has got to offer. I wish him a healthy life full of happiness and joy. Happy birthday sir". 

Some of the dignitaries at the event include former Governor of Osun state and former minister of interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Dr. Muiz Banire, Secretary to the Ekiti State government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, Hon. Kayode Opeifa, Secretary of the Governor Advisory Council of the All Progressives Congress, Alh. Mutiu Are, former chairman of Oshodi-Isolo council, Hon. Bolaji Ariyo, member Lagos State house of assembly, Hon Kayode Ogundipe, Chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo LGA APC, Hon Saheed Animashaun, Vice Chairman of the local government, Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Hon. Olakanle, and host of others.
