YABA LCDA Chairman,Dr Omiyale Organizes Health Mission For Residents,Target 4000 



In his commitment to the well being of his people,the Executive Chairman of Yaba Local Council Development Area, (LCDA),Dr Adejare Omiyale has in partnership with Yaba College of Technology and two others have commenced eye  screening exercise for residents of the LCDA


The screening exercise which kicked off at the multi purpose hall of the citadel of learning,YABATECH on Saturday  had in attendance over one thousand residents who trooped out to have their eyes screened for defects , especially glaucoma and cataract



The Executive Chairman in his opening remarks at the epoch event disclosed that the idea is to assist residents in examining their eyes and where necessary carry out surgery to correct the anomalies


In his words' let me welcome our people to this event ,carefully designed to assist you in working on your eyes,as they say,health is wealth.  Your well being is  our priority in the LCDA and we shall continue to put your well being as a priority"


"We are embarking on this screening exercise to help detect early signs of glaucoma and cataract,where necessary surgery will be carried out. I will urge you to make use of this opportunity by making yourselves available for screening as it's done free of charge,by the LCDA and it's partners.


Dr Omiyale assured residents that his administration will continue to execute projects that are beneficial to the populace 


The Rector of Yaba College of Technology,Dr Ibraheem Abdul in his speech commended the Executive Chairman for the laudable initiative,while he urged residents to make use of the opportunity to get screened..


Dr Abdul equally posited that the college is looking for more partnership with the LCDA especially in the area of health


Dignitaries include the Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government,Chief Mrs Rasheedat  Omolola Essien who was screened at the event
