Oshodi-Isolo Council Chair, Otunba Oloyede Matches Words with Action, begins rehabilitation of Oshodi Road, Church Street, Olaogun Junction
In less than 24 hours after leading his cabinet members and other top government functionaries on tour of deplorable asphalt constructed roads within the council, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has matched words with action as he directed the council engineers to commence rehabilitation of Oshodi Road, Church Street and Olaogun Junction of the local government. 

The council chairman who visited the roads along with his cabinet members on Thursday 17 November, had promised residents and motorists of speedy intervention by the local government. 


The bad portions of the asphalt road often lead to traffic within the area as motorists usually try to avoid the portion.

To the surprise and admiration of residents, the local government, via the Works Department of the council commenced the rehabilitation work on the roads in accordance to the directive of the council chairman that they should swing into action in rehabilitating the bad portions of the roads. 

A motorist and a resident, Mr Jamiu expressed his happiness, noting that he was informed by his children that the council chairman visited the roads on Thursday and he is surprised that the rehabilitation work commenced today, Saturday. 

He said, "Words cannot explain my happiness on this portion of the road that is being worked on. I was informed on Thursday by my children that our chairman, Kendoo visited this road and interacted with motorists promising them that he would do it. I never expected that it would be this soon. It's only God that would reward this hardworking man and bless him for us.

He is passionate about the development of Oshodi and God will continue to strengthen him."

The workaholic chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government has been known for his superb infrastructural strides within the local government and he is not resting on his oars.
