Cult Activities: Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman Condemns Attacks, Summons Emergency Security Meeting
Worried by the incessant clash between warring cult groups and their nefarious activities within the local government, the Executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has condemned the incessant cult attacks in some areas in the local government, which has necessitated him to summon an  emergency meeting with security agencies in the council area.

There have been attacks and counter attacks by the rival cult groups and the attendant disturbance of public peace and safety within the local government.
This followed the sad development where  promising young men that are supposed to be the future of the local government are being wasted to cultism and cult related  attacks, the most recent being a yet to be identified young man gruesomely murdered at Kola Adeyemo street at wee hour of Monday.

To immediately arrest the ugly development, the council chairman  called for an emergency security meeting where security agencies will be charged to deliver their duties promptly without minding whose ox is gored and different security measures reviewed.

According to the release made available by his media office which contained the displeasure of the council helmsman, Otunba Oloyede is reported to have stated that appropriate security agencies have been informed and charged to carry out their duties diligently. He said investigation has commenced and anybody fingered will face the full wrath of the law.

He said; "I received the sad news of another cult attack in our local government, this will not be condoned  or tolerated. This is a stern warning to the cultists to take their battle elsewhere as it will not be tolerated in our local government. Anybody caught will face the wrath of the law.

I have also summoned an emergency security meeting where the security of our local government will be reviewed and new measures discussed. My warning also goes to the parents to caution their children against joining cults or having anything to do with cultists. We will not hesitate to apply the full wrath of  law on anyone caught in such dastardly act. To be forewarned, is to be forearm".
