Oshodi-Isolo council chairman visits Air Force Commander, calls for strengthened collaboration with Nigeria army
The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of Sam Ethan Air Force Base Barracks, O. A. Abu, in his office.
The council chairman on Thursday during the visit to the Base disclosed that he was on the courtesy visit to reciprocate the earlier visit of the commander when he was newly posted to head the barracks and to also appreciate the personnel of the barracks and all other security agencies for the protection of lives and properties of Oshodi residents before, during and after the general elections.
He equally noted that he was there to strengthen the collaborative tie between his administration and the Nigerian navy.
The chairman, who was received by the commander and other top echelon of the air force base, applauded the professionalism of the men and women of the security arm.
He said; "I am here today to once again welcome the commander to our local government and appreciate him, his team and the entire security architecture for their steadfast roles before, during and after the general elections. Our local government did not record any lost of life or brigandage during the election and it was due to the alertness of our security agencies, particularly the gallant men and women of this Nigerian navy.
We shall continue to collaborate with you and also extend our infrastructural development to the barracks and to our people."
While appreciating and welcoming the chairman, the Commander disclosed that he has heard about the unique leadership attributes of the Otunba Oloyede administration and implored him to assist the barracks in the areas of road construction, portable water and other infrastructures. He assured the chairman that his men would continue to promote protection of lives and properties within the council's jurisdiction.
