A doctoral student at the Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State, Mr. Balogun Adeyeye, has expressed his gratitude to Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for helping to keep his PhD dream alive.
Adeyeye in an appreciation letter to Governor Oyebanji said the Governor came to his rescue towards the payment of his fees at the university preventing financial constraint from aborting his quest for a PhD degree.
Mr. Adeyeye appreciated the Governor for his thoughtfulness in covering up for his parents for the purpose of achieving his desired goals.
The PhD Student further expressed delight in the Governor for financial assistance he rendered him to remain a student of the Lafia Federal University, adding that the Governor has raised his hope when all hope was lost, pledging that he would forever be proud of the Governor.
Adeyeye prayed God to continue to grant the Governor divine wisdom to move the state forward, adding that posterity shall always be kind unto him.
In his reaction, Governor Oyebanji said his gesture was borne out of securing the studentship of the concerned Ekiti citizen who is pursuing a doctorate at Federal University, Lafia.
The Ekiti helmsman said he can't sit back and fold his arms to watch the student lose his studentship due to his parents' financial incapability.
The Governor said the student required his utmost assistance and he needed to stand in for him as a father-figure . He expressed how delighted he was to have contributed to Mr Adeyeye’s human capital development.
